I’m Amie, a licensed esthetician with a foundation in nursing and clinical skin health. My healthcare background shapes how I approach esthetics - with critical thinking, precision, and respect for how skin functions as part of the whole body.
My Story
My career began in medical aesthetics, working alongside respected plastic surgeons and within established medical spas in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills. That environment shaped my standards early on - treatments were precise, safety mattered, and results had to be earned.

As my experience grew, I chose to pursue nursing to deepen my clinical knowledge and better support the work I was already doing in the med spa setting. It wasn’t a change in direction, but a way to practice more thoughtfully and with greater understanding.

After years in fast-paced, high-volume environments, I felt drawn to a slower, more intentional approach to skincare - one that allowed time for assessment, education, and truly individualized care. I’ve also lived through many of the same skin phases my clients experience, from teenage acne to adult and hormonal skin changes, which deepened my appreciation for how personal and frustrating skin concerns can be.

Moving to Huntsville gave me the opportunity to build Beyond the Blemish around those values, bringing the same clinical standards I developed in Los Angeles into a calmer, more personal space.

Today, Beyond the Blemish reflects that philosophy. Every treatment is customized, recommendations are made with purpose, and skin health is approached with long-term strategy rather than trends or pressure.
